Maro D'Italia FP106 – High-Pressure Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilets

Wash with water instead of paper — without a power socket, a cable or a plumber. The FP106 replaces the seat on your existing oval or elongated toilet pan (around 500 mm) and runs entirely on your cold-water supply. The 2027 edition adds a redesigned, larger nozzle head and solid brass connections, so the parts that carry water pressure are metal rather than plastic.

Because nothing is electric, there is no standby consumption, no control board and nothing that can fail electronically. You get a single mechanical valve, a side lever for pressure, and two nozzles that retract and rinse themselves after use.

Shape

Made for elongated pans

Shaped for oval and elongated ceramics of roughly 500 mm. Measure your pan before ordering — round or compact pans need the round-pan version instead.

Power

No electricity required

A purely mechanical water valve does the work. No socket near the toilet, no cable along the wall, no standby draw on your meter.

Materials

Brass where pressure sits

Brass inlet valve plus a polished 1/2" brass T-piece and braided hose — the joints that budget seats build from plastic.

Performance

55% stronger spray

The internal mechanism delivers noticeably more pressure than a typical manual bidet seat, dialled up or down at the side lever.

The 2027 nozzle: wider coverage, gentler feel

Raw pressure alone makes a wash sharp rather than effective. The 2027 nozzle head is 120% larger than the previous generation, so the same water volume is spread across a broader spray pattern. The result is a fuller, softer stream that still cleans thoroughly — useful for anyone who found earlier high-pressure seats too concentrated.

Two separate nozzles cover rear and front washing, and an automatic self-cleaning function rinses the nozzle itself so the part that touches water stays clean between uses.

Built around metal, not plastic

Water pressure is what eventually kills inexpensive bidet seats: plastic inlet valves and push-fit connectors crack, weep and stain the floor long before the seat itself wears out. The FP106 is assembled the other way round.

It uses a heavy-duty brass inlet valve and ships with a polished 1/2" brass T-adapter and a braided steel hose, so every joint between your cistern feed and the seat is a metal one. Metal sliders and mounting bolts hold the seat itself, and quick-release lets you lift it off for cleaning.

Brass T-adapter and braided hose supplied with the Maro D'Italia FP106

Before you order: does it fit?

Check these four things

  • Pan shape: oval or elongated, approximately 500 mm from the fixing holes to the front edge.
  • Fixings: two standard seat holes on the top of the pan.
  • Water feed: a 1/2" cold-water connection at the cistern, ideally with an isolating valve.
  • Temperature: the FP106 runs on cold water only. If warm water matters to you, choose an electric washlet instead.

Fitting it yourself

  1. Close the isolating valve and flush the cistern to empty it.
  2. Remove the old seat and fit the brass T-adapter between the cistern inlet and the existing supply hose.
  3. Mount the FP106 with the supplied metal sliders and bolts, then connect the braided hose.
  4. Reopen the valve, check every joint for leaks and set your pressure at the lever.

No drilling, cutting or electrical work is involved — the seat uses the fixing points and the water feed your toilet already has.

Frequently asked questions

Does the FP106 need a power socket?

No. It is a non-electric bidet seat driven purely by your mains water pressure, so it can be fitted in bathrooms with no socket near the toilet and adds nothing to your electricity bill.

Is the water heated?

No — the FP106 is connected to the cold feed only. Most users adapt to it within a few days, but if warm water is essential for you, an electric washlet with an integrated heater is the better choice.

Which toilets does it fit?

Oval and elongated pans of roughly 500 mm with two standard seat fixing holes. Measure from the centre of the fixing holes to the front edge of the pan; if your ceramic is round or noticeably shorter, order the round-pan model instead.

Can I install it without a plumber?

In most cases, yes. The seat uses your existing fixing holes and cold-water connection, and the brass T-adapter simply goes inline at the cistern. No drilling, pipe cutting or electrical work is required.

How is it cleaned?

The nozzles rinse themselves automatically, and the quick-release mechanism lets you lift the whole seat off the pan so you can clean the hinge area properly rather than working around it.

How does it compare with a plastic-fitting bidet seat?

The functional difference is durability under pressure. Brass valves and metal connections tolerate the higher spray pressure the FP106 produces, whereas plastic equivalents are the usual point of failure on cheaper mechanical seats.
