Maro D'Italia FP104 lets you maintain high level of toilet hygiene at low cost as it is inexpensive to own one. Because of its non-electric operation, the running costs are very low.
The FP104 is the standard model of the Maro D'Italia FP series and the one that fits most bathrooms: it replaces your existing seat on common U-shape and D-shape pans, connects to the cold-water feed at the cistern, and needs no electricity at all. What you gain is washing with water; what you avoid is a socket, a cable and a control unit.
The 2027 edition brings a larger nozzle head and brass connections throughout. There is one moving control — a side lever — and no electronics, which is why a mechanical seat tends to outlast the powered kind.
There is no pump and no reservoir. Mains pressure from your cold supply is routed through a brass valve in the seat, and the side lever meters how much of it reaches the nozzle. Turn the lever, the nozzle extends and sprays; release it, and the nozzle retracts and rinses itself.
Because the whole sequence is mechanical, there is nothing to boot, nothing to pair and nothing that stops working when the electronics age.

The same flow spread across a broader pattern, so a firm wash reads as full rather than sharp — most noticeable at high settings.
Separate nozzles for rear and front washing, both stored out of the bowl and rinsed automatically after every use.

A mechanical seat lives or dies by its connections. Budget models route mains pressure through moulded plastic valves and push-fit couplings; those are the parts that go brittle, weep quietly behind the pan and eventually mark the floor. Higher spray pressure simply brings the day forward.
The FP104 is specified the other way round. A heavy-duty brass inlet valve sits inside the seat, and the box includes a polished 1/2" brass T-adapter with a braided steel hose, so the entire path from cistern feed to nozzle is metal. Metal sliders and bolts hold the seat, and quick-release lets you take it off to clean underneath.
All three FP seats share the same mechanics, brass fittings and 2027 nozzle. Only the shape of the seat differs, so choose on your ceramic.

Does the FP104 use electricity?
No. It is a fully mechanical bidet seat powered by your mains water pressure, so it needs no socket, no wiring and no standby power. That also makes it suitable for bathrooms where an electrical connection near the toilet is not practical.
Is the water warm?
No — the seat is fed from the cold supply, so the water is at pipe temperature. If heated water is important to you, an electric washlet with an integrated heater is the category to look at instead.
Which toilets does it fit?
Most standard U-shape and D-shape pans with two seat fixing holes. For distinctly oval or elongated ceramics the FP106 is the matching size, and for round or short-projection pans it is the FP108. Measuring from the fixing holes to the front rim settles it in a minute.
How is it different from an electric washlet?
A washlet heats the water, dries with warm air and runs on electronics; the FP104 does one thing mechanically — wash with cold water at adjustable pressure — with far fewer parts to fail and no running cost.
Do the nozzles stay clean?
They sit retracted under the seat, outside the bowl, and rinse themselves automatically at the end of each use. Quick-release lets you lift the seat off the pan when you want to clean the hinge area properly.
Can I take it with me if I move?
Yes. Nothing is cut, drilled or permanently altered — the seat uses the existing fixings and the T-adapter unscrews from the cistern inlet, so the bathroom returns to its original state.
